Break Time!
Of course the weather is going to be horrible tomorrow, making my drive to Boston for Avery’s cast removal a total nightmare. If only it was something I could reschedule, but poor little man’s hips are so red and irritated from the cast getting tighter that I know he definitely could not wait any longer, no matter how much Aquaphor is applied to them. The cast is getting so tight that I can barely tuck his diaper up under it. We are thinking he must have hit another big growth spurt recently. If his cast break wasn’t this weekend, I definitely would have been calling his doctor to see about the possibility of getting an early removal. I have a feeling that once it is removed, there is going to be quite a bit of bruising around his waist and hips. It is so heartbreaking to see, but we must stay on course and move on to the next cast. You would never know that he was in any kind of discomfort, though, because he never shows it.
